Okay... just a update with my eye issue. Last Friday I went in to have another session of laser therapy on my left eye due to bleeding. As usual they put use a few eye drops and two shots in my eye. Not a fun day I can tell you. After about 20 min. they took me into the room where he does the laser work. One of the shots he gave me numbed my eye as well as all around my eye. I was not able to open or close my eye. The laser time was not painful of course but it just felt so weird. It was kind of cool. However.. once the numbness worn off... the pain came with VENGEANCE! I spent 2 and a half days in bed. I tried to sleep through most of the pain. I've had this procedure done once before and it was never as painful as this one. Right now my vision is clearing up a little bit and the swelling is going down enough to open my left eye a bit more. The pain has decreased a great deal. Saturday night the pain was so bad I almost ask Dale to take me to the ER but I toughed it out the best I could. I knew my eye was in shock from the session and I also knew there wasn't anything they could do other than a pain killer. I lived through it and now I can see well enough to type and read again. If you need laser therapy for the first time it isn't too bad but the second round seems to be much more aggressive and can be very painful. If your eye doc wants to do more laser work on you... ask he or she about pain killer. You will sleep better and recover much better when you are not in serious pain.
It would have been nice if my eye doc warned me of what was to come but he did not. Needless to say...I'm going off on him on my next visit. So....take care of yourselves and hang in there.
